Kayaking in the Repovesi National Park
Kayaking gives you a completely new perspective on the Repovesi National Park
Repovesi National Park is famous for the Lapinsalmi suspension bridge, the rugged rock face of Olhava and the Kuutinkanava -canal. To the west of the park are extensive lake areas, which we use to access different areas of the national park.
Our experienced guide will plan the kayaking route and during the trip we will stay overnight at one of the many fire sites in the national park.
The tour is suitable for those with some previous paddling experience
On the Repovesi kayaking tour we paddle at a relaxed pace and over the two days we cover a total distance of about 25-35 kilometres. The tour requires the completion of a beginner's course in kayaking. You must be able to paddle at a relaxed pace for about 20 kilometres during the day. We therefore do not recommend this trip for beginners.
We hope that you have some prior experience on camping and outdoors also. We sleep in tents and cook personal meals with outdoor stoves. In case you do not have all the necessary items, you can rent them from Natura Viva.
Schedule
We meet on Saturday at Lapinsalmi parking lot at 10.00 am. We will return to the starting point on Sunday at 16.00.
