Vaappu and Lippa are two wilderness cabins, renovated in 2020, on the shore of Lake Matildanjärvi in Teijo National Park on Finland's southwest coast. They sit right on the popular Jeturkasti and Matildanjärvi hiking trails. You get the feel of a Finnish forest cabin without giving up comfort: electricity, an oven and a proper kitchen, parking at the door, and the Teijo Nature Centre within walking distance. The historic ironworks village of Mathildedal, with its restaurants and small shops, is a minute's drive away.

Nearby village of Mathildedal introduces you with the best restaurants and small shops in the area.

Renovated in 2020, Vaappu and Lippa are ideal for anyone seeking an authentic Finnish wilderness experience without sacrificing comfort. Each cabin features two sleeping alcoves, a wood-burning stove, and electric heating for basic warmth. Outdoors, you’ll find a campfire area and picnic benches – a perfect setting to relax after a day of adventure.

Accommodation is self-catered – you will receive detailed instructions on the key pickup with your booking confirmation.
Vaappu and Lippa can be booked separately or together. If you reserve both cabins, you’ll have exclusive use of the shared yard and an additional daily sauna session.
One sauna session (1,5 hours) per cabin per night is included in the reservation.
Please follow the Leave No Trace principle – take all waste to the designated recycling point or out of the park area.
Pets are welcome! A pet fee will be added to your booking.
Cabins are available from 1:00 PM on the day of arrival until 11:00 AM on the day of departure.
