Embark on an overnight hiking trip in Sipoonkorpi, near metropolitan Helsinki. The national park creates a perfect setting for your stay in the nature.

Together with Nuuksio National Park, Sipoonkorpi National Park belongs among the most notable wilderness areas in Metropolitan Helsinki. The national park is spread out on three municipalities: Helsinki and the neighbouring Vantaa and Sipoo. It's easy to come to Sipoonkorpi national park for a day trip, but the wilderness also creates good opportunities for overnight trips, as there are multiple camping grounds and a few wanderers' huts, which are suitable for sleeping – just bring your own tent mattress and a sleeping bag.

It's allowed to hoist your tent free of charge on the signified camping areas in the national park. The wanderers' huts and sleeping huts are also in free use – first come first serve.

Ängesböle camping area and wanderers' hut

There is good space for hoisting your tent at Ängesböle camping ground, and there's also a campfire site nearby. The wanderers' hut offers shelter for two persons – the hut actually is more like a canopy without a door or walls, so you'll sleep outside but sheltered from rain.

Ängesböle camping ground and wanderers' hut are found along the Byabäcken nature trail, in the middle of Sipoonkorpi forest. There's an outhouse by the camping area.

Kalkkiruukki camping area, wanderers's hut and sleeping hut

Kalkkiruukki is another camping area in Sipoonkorpi National Park. You can hoist your tent here, or sleep in a wanderers' hut or in a sleeping hut, which used to be a wood-shed. You can still sense some old-time feeling at this atmospheric site.

Kalkkiruukki camping area is located along the Kalkinpolttajanpolku hiking trail. This 5-kilometer trail circles around the Sipoonkorpi forest. There's an outhouse by the camping area.
