Lake Matildanjärvi is a beautiful, sheltered body of water where even beginners can get started with paddling comfortably. Along the lake you’ll find several campfire spots, perfect for stopping for snacks and a break by the fire.
Prefer wheels over water? Rent a fatbike and enjoy the varied cycling terrain in Teijo National Park and the surrounding area. Ride the Tapaninkierros route north of Lake Matildanjärvi, or explore the atmosphere of the historic ironworks villages of Mathildedal, Kirjakkala and Teijo.
