Spend a memorable night in Nuuksio National Park, near Helsinki metropolitan area yet in the middle of the most pristine nature.
This wanderer's hut, also known as a wicket, is built beside the bridge leading to a small island in the middle of lake Holma-Saarijärvi, in the western part of the Nuuksio National Park. There are two camping sites in the area, one on the island and another one on the lakeshore.
Holma-Saarijärvi is one of the most beautiful locations in the Nuuksio National Park, so expect to meet a lot of other hikers and overnight campers here. The wicket offers shelter and there's the possibility to make a campfire – spend an atmospheric night on the lakeshore and admire the stunningly beautiful Finnish forest.
The Holma-Saarijärvi wanderer's hut can be reached from Hawk Nest, Natura Viva’s Nuuksio depot by foot. The trail is about two kilometers along the Korpinkierros hiking route.
