This nature hike near Helsinki requires a bit of physical fitness. The five-kilometer trail shows everything nature has to offer in Sipoonkorpi. 

This trail is named by a former limestone mine, located along the trail in Sipoonkorpi National Park. "Kalkinpolttaja" translates to "limeburner", and the limestone mine definitely is one of the highlites on this hike. The nature trail offers also steep uphills, high rocks with great views and lush forests. 

The length of the hike is about five kilometres, and the trail requires physical fitness, as there are multiple uphills and uneven terrain. Along the trail you can have breather at the Kalkkiruukki wanderers' hut. Enjoy a coffee and observe the nature. Here you can also spend the night, either in your tent or in the wanderers' hut.

The trail is marked along the path in the trees with green-white markings. 

There's direct access onto the path from Kalkkiuunintie road.
