Maahisenkierros trail is a two-kilometer hiking trail, which is accessible for wheelchairs as well as parents with baby carriages. The coating on the trail is composed of flatted-out rocks and cinder, and supports the wheels of wheelchairs and carriages.
This hiking trail has one of the most beautiful views on the lake Pitkäjärvi, the largest lake in Nuuksio. For wheelchairs the route is physically demanding, so we recommend an usher to come along for the hike. There are numerous platforms along the route, where the hikers can rest their eyes on the beautiful views. Hawk Nest, Natura Viva’s Nuuksio depot, is situated some five kilometers northwest from these premises.
Please observe, that it’s not permitted to enter the Maahisenkierros trail with a bicycle, riding a horse or doing a Nordic walking exercise with ski poles, as the coating on the trail would be affected.
