The Päivättärenpolku trail is one of the shortest hiking trails in Nuuksio. This one-and-a-half-kilometers hike circles around the Finnish Nature Center Haltia, located some five kilometers southeast from Hawk Nest, Natura Viva’s Nuuksio depot.
Päivättärenpolku is a physically demanding hike, with numerous steep climbs along the trail. However, You can stop for a breather on one or more of the many info-signs along the route and read some interesting trivia about the area and the national park. Obtain knowledge and get some physical exercise simultaneously – what a splendid idea for a day hike near Helsinki!
Päivättärenpolku takes you about an hour to complete, so it’s definitely suitable for the first hike of the day. There’s also a five-kilometer connection route between Haltia and Hawk Nest – come and visit Natura Viva, maybe rent some outdoor equipment or enjoy a coffee at Café Silva.
