One of the key hiking trails in the area, the Korpinkierros trail leads from Hawk Nest to Holma-Saarijärvi. One of the campfire sites is located on the western lakeshore and the other on a small island on the lake.
There’s an unmarked trail circling the lake, from which you will be able to find your way to the bridge leading on the island. You're best off turning south on the trail before arriving at the lake in order to locate the bridge. There’s also a traditional wanderer’s hut, located just beside the bridge.
There’s also an outhouse and a popular, free-of-charge camping site at Holma-Saarijärvi.
