Visit Teijo National Park for some splendid mountain biking in Southern Finland. Rent a Fatbike from Natura Viva and jump on the pedals.

Biking is a very recommendable means of getting to know your way around in Teijo National Park. All in all the land area of the national park is about 34 square kilometers, scattered on a larger area. The different parts of the national park are easiest reachable with a bike. Also the nearby seashore villages with their historic landmarks, located just outside the national park borders on the seacoast, make for a fascinating bike trip destination.

Rental Fatbikes in Teijo

A bike trip in Teijo is of course a great summer pastime for your whole family, for your work associates or for friends. Visit Natura Viva at Teijo Nature Center and rent a Fatbike – with their extra-wide tires you will be able to pedal on uneven terrain easily. The self-service Fatbike rental at Teijo is open throughout the year, as these bikes can be safely rode in winter conditions as well. 

Natura Viva also offer rental Fatbikes in Helsinki, at the Vuosaari Paddling Center, and in Espoo, at the Nuuksio Hawk Nest.

Teijo Biking trails

The terrain in Teijo National Park is perfect for biking. There are forest trails, narrow forest paths and some paved roads, which you can ride on. The historic iron works at the nearby villages provide the rider with some cultural sightseeing in-between. The shops, restaurants and cafés welcome all visitors. Mathildedal, the nearest village to Natura Viva’s Teijo Nature Center, is located some 3 kilometers afar. All the three villages are easily reachable by bike within a single daytrip. 

Biking in Teijo is allowed on especially marked trails. All bikers are asked to follow the signage and not to pedal on prohibited trails, as the delicate nature and vegetation don’t tolerate bike marks. The biking trails are diverse, from easy and relaxing routes to more demanding up- and downhill trails, perfect for mountain biking sessions.
