The Takala Wanderer's hut is located at the end of the 1,5 kilometer Takala trail, in the northern part of the national park. This hiking trail is easily walkable, and also biking is allowed. The Takala trail commences from the Kattila campfire site, near the Kattila parking area. The hiking trail from Hawk Nest leads through Kattila as well.
