Vallisaari is a great place to spend a summer day out with the family, a refreshing getaway with your colleagues or a stag or hen party with a group of friends. Vallisaari has plenty to do and a wide range of services.

Vallisaari's camping services are available during the summer. Vallisaari has water points, toilets and a guest marina for those arriving by boat. The island has a high quality restaurant and café service during the summer. There is plenty to see and do on Vallisaari. Take a day trip to scenic Vallisaari and stay overnight. Alexander's tour of Vallisaari

The natural environment of Vallisaari is sensitive and partly protected. Many of the island's attractions can be explored along signposted routes. The Alexander's Tour of Vallisaari is an excursion route of about 3 km. Along the way, you can admire the island's stunning scenery and stop for a picnic on Vallisaari's colourful Picnic Pond or take a picnic break at the picnic site on the shores of Vallisaari's lush pond.

Rent a Fatbike from the Vallisaari Harbour House, Natura Viva's outdoor equipment rental shop, and go cycling on the island's trails. You can also walk the Vallisaari trails. Some of the island's routes have hilly and rocky terrain and are ideal for fatbike cycling. Along the Alexander's Tour you can also visit the most popular attraction on the island, the Alexander's Battery. You can also admire the stunning sea views from the observation deck of the Alexander's Battery.

From Vallisaari, it's also worth taking a trip to the adjacent Kuninkaansaari, along the isthmus connecting the islands. The King's Island is named after King Gustav III of Sweden. The King's Island loop is a 2.5 km route that winds through beautiful island scenery. Why not take a dip in the sandy beach at Kuninkaansaari?

A wide range of activities on Vallisaari

There are plenty of interesting activities on Vallisaari. Try forest yoga, go mini golfing, go for a swim, take a sauna in a bunker sauna or explore the island from the sea by kayaking or SUP boarding. From the sea you can see the island from a new perspective.

Take a break from everyday life or go on a day trip to Vallisaari from further afield and experience the island atmosphere at its most authentic. Spend a memorable night in Vallisaari's Tentsile tented accommodation or take a boat trip to Vallisaari and stay overnight in the picnic harbour.

To Vallisaari for a treat

There are several cafés and a container restaurant on Vallisaari. Enjoy a terrace coffee in the harbour café at Torpedo Bay's picnic harbour, in the seaside setting of Vallisaari Harbour Square. Torpedo Bay's container restaurant serves delicacies for the hungry. At the Vallisaari Ice Cream Café Pajá you can enjoy artisan ice creams and sip on organic roasted coffee.

Vallisaari's cosy break areas are a nice place to take a break and enjoy your own snacks. Along the Alexander's tour, you can stop for a short break on the banks of Vallisaari's lush pond. At the Vallisaari Picnic Meadow, you can study the life of the butterflies that live on the island and admire the colourful meadow flowers while enjoying a snack. You can also sit down to admire the stunning seascapes at the Alexander's Battery Yard and the many picnic benches and tables in Torpedo Bay.

To Vallisaari by water bus, own boat or paddle

Vallisaari can be reached by boat, by canoe or by water bus from the Market Square. After just 20 minutes by sea, you step off the water bus and into the heart of Vallisaari, an island exceptionally rich in nature. Vallisaari's harbour is open to those arriving by boat. For paddlers, there are several kayak landing places on Vallisaari.
