Natura Viva MTB Camp Fiskars - riding technique and nature experiences

The mountain biking camp is held on 1-3 August 2025 at Fiskars Village Trail Center and in the surrounding terrain.

The camp is suited to riders who already have previous experience of mountain biking. The camp helps you gain confidence in the sport and teaches you to ride even in demanding terrain. MTB Camp Fiskars takes your mountain biking skills to a new level - guided rides, bike handling and riding technique exercises, and practical tips on maintaining your gear.

The Fiskars Trail Center has the most versatile mountain bike trail network in Southern Finland: over 50 kilometres of varied MTB trails for riders of all levels.

The trails run along both natural and shaped paths, offering challenges and unforgettable experiences in beautiful surroundings. In addition to the varied trail features, the area has a fast pump track that provides both fun and an excellent training environment.

The trails are marked by difficulty level, so it is easy to find a challenge that suits you.

Natura Viva MTB Camp - Programme

The theme running through the weekend: riding position

Friday - an easy start

  • 16.00 Registration & accommodation

  • 17.00 Opening of the camp and preparing to ride

  • 17.30 A relaxing warm-up ride on easy trails

  • 21.00 Campfire - workshop and relaxed time together 

Saturday - riding technique and rides on the Trail Center trails

  • 9.30-12.30 Morning session:

    • Timo: a guided ride on the varied routes of Fiskars Village Trail Center

    • Kaisa: a deep dive into mountain bike handling on the Trail Center trails

  • 12.30-13.30 Lunch

  • 14.00-17.00 Another round of trails or technique practice, groups swap over

  • 17.00-20.00 Bike washing and maintenance. Dinner and relaxing in the sauna

  • 20.00-21.00 Workshop:

    • Using map applications for navigation

    • Bike maintenance

Sunday - challenge yourself

  • 9.30-12.00 Morning riding technique exercises for different skill levels

  • 12.00-13.00 Lunch

  • 13.00-15.00 A ride or riding technique exercises, your choice 

  • 15.00 Closing of the camp and packing up

Further information

  • The course

    • Previous mountain biking experience is a requirement for taking part

    • The course runs from Friday to Sunday. The programme starts on Friday afternoon and ends on Sunday afternoon.

    • Instructors: Kaisa Härkönen & Timo Kesti

    • Number of participants 9-16. The course will be held if at least 9 people have registered by 7 July 2025

      • *Natura Viva has the right to hold the course even if there are fewer participants. If the course is not held because of too few participants, the participation fees will be refunded in full; in other situations the general service, booking and payment terms of Natura Viva's services apply.

    • Minimum age 16 when accompanied by a guardian.

  • Accommodation & overnight stay

    • Tent accommodation in the yard area of the Myllyjärvi cabin

    • Outdoor toilet

    • A spacious dining shelter and a kota hut

  • The price includes:

    • Instruction and guiding during the MTB Camp

    • A tent pitch

    • A parking space for a few cars

    • Use of the outdoor toilet, the cooking shelter and the kota hut near the tent pitch

    • A benefit on mountain bike rental for the duration of the MTB Camp - 3 days for the price of 2

    • A free 2 h outdoor equipment rental and a benefit on a Natura Viva season pass

  • The price does not include / additional services:

    • The Fiskars Village Trail Center support fee for Friday to Sunday, about €10-20 per person

    • The sauna and indoor toilet of the Myllyjärvi cabin are available at €20 per person.
