The Technique 2 course takes your paddling skills to a new level.

After the Technique 2 course you can enjoy paddling in more varied conditions and plan longer paddling trips. The course deepens the skills learned on the basic course and we focus on the paddling techniques required in the Paddler 2 skills test.

This course is one of the three parts of the Paddler 2 training package. We also recommend the Paddler 2 level courses to all paddlers who want to refresh the skills they have already learned.

The Technique 2 course is designed to be taken after the Technique 1 course.

The main themes of the course:

• The low brace and preventing a capsize

• Steering with the stern rudder

• The figure-of-eight brace, i.e. sculling

• Edging the kayak

• Revision of the Paddler 2 techniques

• Number of participants 8 people

• Taking part with your own kayak is possible if it has fixed bulkheads

• Prerequisites:

  • A completed basic kayaking course and/or active practice of the hobby

  • The course is also suitable for experienced paddlers

  • The course prepares you for the Paddler 2 skills assessment.
