Vuosaari Paddling Centre – The best paddling routes in Helsinki and beautiful archipelago

Vuosaari Paddling Centre is located next to Kallahdenniemi. The East Helsinki archipelago is among the most beautiful in the Capital Region, with several different paddling routes and outdoor islands to explore.

Tapaninvainio Paddling Point – Come paddle on the River Vantaa

From Natura Viva’s Paddling Point you can head out on the Vantaa River. The paddling point is open daily from June to August, and season pass holders can use the equipment outside opening hours as well.

Sipoonranta Paddling Point – Sipoo archipelago by kayak or SUP

Sipoonranta Paddling Point opens up the beautiful Sipoo archipelago, with several islands intended for outdoor recreation. Sipoonranta is a self-service destination where season pass holders can use kayaks and SUP boards from morning to evening.

Kivinokka Paddling Point – An urban paddling spot close to central Helsinki

From Kivinokka Paddling Point you can paddle out onto Vanhankaupunginlahti, with familiar nearby islands such as Mustikkamaa, Vallisaari and Suomenlinna. There’s plenty of traffic on the water, but also space for paddlers!

Matinkylä Paddling Point – Paddle into the Espoo archipelago

Matinkylä Paddling Point is located right by Matinkylä beach, next to Cafe Merenneito. From here you can paddle or SUP to Iso Vasikkasaari for a day out and enjoy the summer café along the way.

Suvisaaristo Paddling Point – Western Espoo archipelago

From Suvisaaristo Paddling Point at Hanikka beach, you’ll have access to stunning paddling waters in the western Espoo archipelago. Pentala, Stora Herrö, Gåsgrund and many other outdoor islands offer plenty to explore over several paddling trips.

Teijo National Park – Matildanjärvi is perfect for paddling and rowing

Teijo National Park combines coastal nature with industrial history. Come explore the park’s trails and the area’s historic ironworks villages. You can paddle on Matildanjärvi, and with fatbikes you can ride local mountain biking routes or visit cultural sites. Natura Viva also offers accommodation and sauna services in the area.

Nuuksio National Park – Haukanpesä café and outdoor equipment at Lake Haukkalampi

Haukanpesä by the shore of Lake Haukkalampi is open in the summer season, and this destination is especially well suited for a relaxed pace and families with children. Haukkalampi is a small, sheltered body of water—ideal for practising SUP boarding or taking an easy rowing boat trip.

Repovesi National Park is one of the most beautiful nature destinations in Southern Finland. Olhava, the Lapinsalmi bridge and Kuutin canal are well-known sights to many outdoor enthusiasts.
