Guided canoe tours
Nature Viva offers guided canoe tours daily during the summer season (June, July and August) and every Saturday and Sunday in May and September. The Nuuksio Canoe Adventure includes transport back and forth from downtown Helsinki. You won’t be needing anything else than sporty outdoor clothing and lots of adventurer’s spirit! During the tour there will also hike on the trails of the national park and enjoy a snack on the lakeside! This is a nature trip worth reminiscing!
You can also book the Nuuksio Canoe and Hike Adventure as a private event for Your group (minimum 4 people).
Guided group canoe tours
For your bigger travel group there are plenty of canoe activities available at the Nuuksio Hawk Nest. We will be glad to provide your group with the best possible alternatives for a great day outdoors. Events can also be combinded: You can for instance embark on a canoe tour first and then make a Fatbike tour or a hike around the Nuuksio National Park. Rent a canoe
The Hawk Lake is a peaceful body of water - perfect for a nice canoeing trip by yourself. Rent a canoe from the Hawk Nest and start a-paddlin’! All our open canoes are equipped with an additional seat and can carry two adults and two children.
Nuuksio - a nice location for canoeing
The Nuuksio National Park offers dazzling surroundings for your canoe tour. Hawk Lake is a dog-leg shaped, lengthy yet narrow lake – very suitable for a relaxing canoeing session. The lake is surrounded by thick forests and steep rocks, which help create a virtually windless weather conditions on the lake. The Haukanholma campfire site on the northern shore of the lake offers possibilities for a picnic within the woods. On the opposite shore there’s a pier to which the canoe can be tied. The rocks invite visitors for an easy walk-climb, and the view from the top is fantastic, we tell You!
