A campfire site in the middle of the Nenusta loop!
The Nenusta rest stop is located in the middle of the figure-eight-shaped Nenusta loop, at the junction where the two loops meet. The rest stop is built on level pine heath, and while you eat your snacks and enjoy trail coffee, it’s decision time: do you head onto the northern loop of the figure eight, with slightly rockier terrain, or return towards the Nenustannummi parking area, the starting point of the route.
It’s worth walking the entire Nenusta route, because the Nenustannokka viewpoint offers spectacular views towards Lake Hamarinjärvi, the largest lake in Teijo National Park. And you can always take another break on the way back – the Nenusta rest stop is a place you’ll happily spend a bit longer, too.
At the Nenusta campfire site there are wooden benches, a built fire pit and a dry toilet.
The campfire sites in Teijo National Park are maintained by Metsähallitus, and firewood is available at all of them. However, it’s still a good idea to bring a knife and fire-lighting tools with you.
