Totin Nature Trail in Teijo National Park (Totin luontopolku)
Totin luontopolku is an easy, family-friendly walking trail in Teijo National Park. The route is just over 1 km long and takes you into the beautiful natural surroundings of Lake Sahajärvi, starting from the Sahajärvi parking area in the central part of the national park.
A short, family-friendly nature trail in the Sahajärvi area
Totin luontopolku runs entirely through the lands of Teijo Manor, yet the atmosphere feels surprisingly wild. Along the way you’ll find rocky terrain, hazel shrubs, and lush streams—the scenery on this short trail is both beautiful and rugged.
Over the years, the manor’s owners have also planted non-native species in the area, including rhododendrons. Around the middle of the trail, rhododendron bushes grow in abundance. At times, Totin luontopolku can feel almost “non-Finnish”, as the area also includes several tree species brought from abroad, such as beech.
Location
