Endal Lean-to Shelter by Lake Puolakkajärvi, Teijo National Park
Set up camp in the heart of Teijo National Park at Endal laavu, a peaceful lean-to shelter by Lake Puolakkajärvi. The shelter is located on the north side of Puolakkajärvi, around a 3 km hike from Natura Viva’s Teijo Nature Centre (Teijon Luontokeskus)—almost exactly in the middle of the national park.
A great stop for a break or an overnight hike
Endal laavu is a great place to rest—or to spend the night when you’re planning an overnight hiking trip in Teijo National Park. The shores of Puolakkajärvi are beautiful, and the lake water is clear.
Hiking to Puolakkajärvi from the Teijo Nature Centre
The Teijo Nature Centre is an excellent starting point for a nature hike to Puolakkajärvi. Fill up your water bottles, enjoy trail coffees at the Nature Centre café, and then follow the path towards Puolakkajärvi—along the way you’ll walk through forest and across mire on boardwalks.
